Man Arrested in Assault Of 9-Month-Old Baby

A 9-month-old girl was assaulted by her mother's boyfriend on Saturday night, the police said. The child, Dyachia Hardnett, was injured at the home of her mother, Doris Hardnett, at 2120 Randall Avenue in the Bronx, the police said. They said that the boyfriend, Theodore Jones, 26, was feeding the baby when he became angry and shook her aggressively. When the baby lost consciousness, he called 911.
