Marking the anniversary of the nation's, and the world's, first atomic bomb test 40 years ago today, the National Association of Atomic Veterans will hold an Atomic Veterans' Day Rally this afternoon on the east front steps of the Capitol. The rally is in honor of the nearly 350,000 American servicemen and servicewomen who took part in the nuclear weapons program from 1945 to 1963.
