Ted Kotcheff Syntymäpäivä, syntymäaika
Ted Kotcheff (7. huhtikuuta 1931 Toronto – 10. huhtikuuta 2025 Nuevo Vallarta, Meksiko) oli kanadalainen ohjaaja, joka teki maailmankuulujen elokuviensa ohessa huomattavasti televisiotyötä. Hän oli sukutaustaltaan bulgarialainen ja valmistui Toronton yliopistosta. Hänen tärkeimpiä saavutuksiaan olivat Bafta (1972), Berliinin elokuvajuhlien Kultainen karhu (1974) ja kaksi Kultainen palmu -ehdokkuutta Cannesin elokuvajuhlilla (1971, 1985).
Vaikka Kotcheffin maine perustuu ohjaustyöhön, hän myös tuotti, käsikirjoitti ja näytteli. Viimeksi mainitusta esimerkki on esiintyminen Billy Rayn elokuvassa Väritetty totuus (2003).
Vuonna 2017 ilmestyi hänen omaelämäkertansa Director’s Cut : My Life in Film (Toronto: ECW Press, ISBN 978-1-77041-361-0).
